Looking to save a few dollars on photography? Choosing a venue with ceremony, reception facilities and photo locations can save you time, hassle and money. Less photo coverage is required from your photographer when everything happens in the same place.
For over a decade I’ve been shooting at wedding venues across the country. Here’s a quick list of a few of my favorites in the Vancouver and Fraser Valley area that accommodate all three.
1. Swan-e-set Pitt Meadows
The grand ballroom at Swan-e-set is unbelievable. 60 foot ceilings, floor to ceiling windows and impressive chandeliers make this reception facility one of the most beautiful I’ve ever photographed. With four ceremony venues on the property and endless photo locations, Swan-e-set is top of my list.

2. Rowena’s on the River Harrison Mills
This English style manor has a bit of everything. From mountain vistas, rustic cabins, open forests and the elegance of the manor itself, the variety of imagery that can be created here is quite impressive.

3. Camp Alexandra White Rock
Looking for a venue that has a more relaxed feel? Or do you have a lot of young families attending your wedding? Camp Alexandra may be the place for you. The 2 1/2 acre camp is surrounded by beautiful heritage buildings and is only a couple blocks away from Crescent Beach.

4. The Beach House Dundarave Pier, West Vancouver
The Beach House is a fantastic place if you’re looking for an intimate, waterfront venue. The pier, gazebo and beach make for many photo opportunities all within a minute walk from the restaurant.

5. The Landing/Steamworks Vancouver
Looking for something a little more urban? Have your ceremony at the Landing and then move next door to Steamworks for your reception. Gastown is a fantastic place for those urban photos you want.

Kelsey - Hi,
I’m interested in having my wedding at the Landing but can’t find any contact information. Would you happen to know who I could contact?
Thanks so much!!!
Amethyst - Hey Kelsey,
Try the event planner/manager at Steamworks. I know that’s where this couple held their reception and I believe they had the contacts for the venue.
Let me know if you need a photographer!
Cheers,
Melissa
